I’ve had a love affair with dungarees since I saw Rumi of Fashion Toast tweet about the ridiculously expensive 3.1 Philip Lim pair, which I subsequently made into an old Want it on Wednesday post.
My head is saying, ‘Jo, you wore dungarees throughout your childhood why would you want to do this again’. I have a simple response. It’s because they’re leather. I have a slight leather fetish in the clothes department. Not the kinky kind. Although if I did, I’m not sure I’d admit that on here. I might save it for a massive book deal.
Anyway. I’ve since seen and heard a lotta love for this Whistles pair, which I now can’t find for sale ANYWHERE! At £350, they’re still expensive. Very expensive. But well worth it. You’re paying for quality leather that will last a lifetime. Consider these an investment piece.
If those break the bank (in my head the bank is already on the phone) I’ve found these ASOS Dungarees in Twill. For £45, they’ll definitely do the job.
They’re not leather but are a cool alternative. I like the skinny legs and the classic two strap back.
These would be so good to dress up with heels or flat boots. All I need now is a perfectly tailored white shirt to pair with them.
