How often do you pat yourself on the back after nailing something on your to do list, receiving some amazing news or doing something that makes you beam? If you’re anything like me, it’s not often enough. I’m a huge fan of Sarah Powell and regularly watch her Instagram Stories where she talks a lot about self celebration. So, I’m taking a leaf out of her book and am starting to celebrate the small wins in my life. Whether that’s going a day without being bloated or making it out of the house to feed the ducks. I’m celebrating. I’m giving myself a big pat on the back and raising a glass in my honour.
For now, I’ll leave you with some of the #CheersToTheSmallWins from my week…
A day without bloating. Hell yeah.
Feeling the warmth of the sun on my face. Delicious.
Remembering to pick up newspapers and veg for the bun. Hell yeah.
Replying to that email that’s been hanging around. Did it.
Making it out the house the day after an IBS flare for a walk down by the river. Nailed it.
Taking a bunch of photos after being inspired by Sara Tasker’s new book, Hashtag Authentic. YES.
Painting my nails and not smudging them terribly. Now that, I have to celebrate as it never happens.
The husband pouring us a glass of champers to celebrate the freelance life. Cheers.
Changing the bedsheets on a Sunday evening. Dreamy.
Wearing a midi skirt without tights. Badass.
Transitioning to my beloved trench coat versus a huge parka. Fist pump.
Ending the week with an empty wash bin and a clean house. Belly bump me.
A mid-morning Creme Egg. Hello.
A leisurely bath with some new aromatherapy oils. The ultimate luxury.
Removing my ‘tache and not burning my top lip in the process. A rarity!
Writing this blog post which has been saved in my drafts for a while. Success.
I want to know your small wins. Drop ’em below or come and share with me on Instagram using #CheersToTheSmallWins. I’m all ears.
