I think we all know that I have this thing for midi skirts. Especially those with a side order of pleats.
They nip me in at my waist before skimming over my hips and hitting a couple of inches below the knee. They’re super flattering but also fairly forgiving, which I need for those days where my IBS bloat might flare.
I have several in my collection, ranging from metallic turquoise mermaid to oxblood leather. But my favourite, in terms of boosting my mood and plastering a smile over my chops, is this one.
While it may initially look like a fair-weather skirt, don’t let its pale pink hues fool you. Because I happen to love the clash when paired with thick black opaques.
But of course, I don’t stop there. Oh no. I like to add my blue snake print pom pom covered shoes into the mix.
In my dream world I’d have worn a striped top however, my fave cropped ASOS jumper in black does the trick up top. I don’t want to cause too much of a diversion from the skirt and shoe combo after all.
The polka dots alongside the pom poms is enough to lift me out of the biggest morning grumps. The power of wearing clothes that make you feel good shouldn’t be underestimated.
