My problem with winged liner is that I can’t ever seem to get a thin line. I go thick and fat with a dramatic flick, which is partly the reason I don’t wear this look daily. It also takes me forever to perfect. So when I received a mini sample of Benefit’s They’re Real! Push-Up Liner I couldn’t wait to test it out.
My go-to liner is usually Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner which I find super easy to apply due to its long nib which makes for an easy glide. The only thing I’m not 100% sold on is the shiny line it gives. I’d like something more matte. Which is exactly what the Benefit one offers.
The flexi tip helps to get really close to the lash line and once applied it dries immediately and you know it won’t budge. My only issue was the applicator itself, I found it annoying that I had to keep squeezing to get more product out. I constantly found that I’d squeeze too much out and then draw an even thicker line than normal, which was the opposite of what I wanted. I wanted soft and thin but got dramatic and sultry. But, for an evening look, I can work it. I just need to practice for the day.
