Shut the front door is one of my favourite ever sayings from one of my favourite Americans, you can find her here. And Whistles is one of my favourite British shops. And I’m getting married. So you can imagine my delight when I heard the news that Whistles are MAKING WEDDING DRESSES!!
Shut the front door, the back door and ALL the windows because the collection is freakin’ beautiful. It’s clean, there’s a tonne of lace, some frills (oh yeah), draping, a jumpsuit (which I adore), and what’s more is that prices max out at £699.
Whistles, known for their classic cuts, gorgeous detailing and banging accessories, are dropping the collection online from February next year and in their flagship London store.
And while I hate to say it, I’m kinda sad that I’ve already got my dress now because I do think I would have grabbed one of these. That’s not to say I don’t love my dress, because I completely do, it’s just not what I imagined I’d wear and these Whistles dresses are.
In fact, I regularly look at the snaps on my phone of me in the dress to remind myself of it. I then have a habit of texting my mum, the only one who’s seen it, to check that we still like it.
There is a part of me thinking, could I have two dresses? Is that too much? Am I becoming a massive bridezilla? Should I stop torturing myself by looking? Fo’ sho’.
