This weekend just gone, myself and five work mates made our way up to Yorkshire for the biggest and baddest Indian wedding. Sanj, my friend, work colleague and food blogger who you should definitely all check out (Korasoi.com), only went and got married.
It was a massive affair and I felt honoured to attend and share their special day with them, not least because I got to wear a sari and bedazzle in all my jewels.
The ceremony was fantastic with both the bride and groom looking incredible, the food was amazing, the speeches made me cry, the bhangra dancers got the party started and the dance off between the two family sides topped it all off. We danced until the bitter end and loved every second of it.
Here’s a few pictures and obligatory selfies…
I love how proud I look here. What you should know is that the priests wife was kind enough to dress us in the morning as I don’t think I ever truly appreciated just how tricky it is to dress a sari. I was afraid to move here for fear of unraveling.
Me and Dubz totally working our outfits and matching shoes. It only felt right that we held a mini photo shoot outside the hotel after the amount of time it took to get ready.
Here’s a sneak peek of me and the stunning bride next to her beautiful wedding cake, made by the talented Charlotte of Restoration Cake.
I had the best day ever. Thanks Sanj. You little beauty.
