Last night was my besties annual Christmas party and a massive excuse for me to bust out some sequins and start a new series on my blog. How convenient. I think the title’s pretty self explanatory so I won’t waste your time by explaining that this series will basically show you how I wear sequins… Oh, hang on.
I’ve had this sequin sheer tee from Topshop for about four years now and I love it even more every time I wear it. It’s super chic and incredibly sexy, two things which I don’t do very well. I love how it photographs. From afar it looks like I’m literally just wearing sequins to cover my dignity.
I’ve gone all out and paired it with a Warehouse leather skirt, which I was kindly sent. Unfortunately I made the mistake of taking all the tags off before trying it on, to realise that it was a size too big. This skirt has been hanging in my room for a while and I’ve been unsure what to do with it. Last night I caved and belted it tightly around my waist which seems to have done the trick here.

I’ve finished the whole look off with my House of Holland star tights, after all, it is Christmas. HOH makes my favourite tights ever. If I could afford to, I’d live in them.
There’s something about pairing sequins with leather. It’s that naughty and nice combo which I’m growing more and more fond of. I’ve gone for an over-sized silhouette as it’s how I feel most comfortable. I’d definitely wear this outfit again. It’s easy but looks fairly chic. Possibly a first for me.
