WIOW: Aldo Rise Shoes

I am a firm believer that shoes can make or break an outfit.

When I meet someone for the first time I like to see what shoes they’re wearing so that I can make judgement calls on their personality. Since dating me, the not-so-new boyf has bought several pairs of new shoes (that I’ve overseen) and I’ve thrown several pairs of his old shoes out. If they’re not right, shoes niggle at me.

I have been known to base my entire outfit around a pair of killer shoes before and why not?

I first laid eyes on the two beauties below in the pages of one of the monthly glossies. I have to admit, it was love at first sight. I fell hook, line and sinker – I’m reeling out all the old clichés!

First up on the I-need-these-so-badly-it-hurts list, are these Weatherbee beauties created by JW Anderson for Aldo Rise.

Normally, these would shoes I stay well clear of for many reasons. Firstly, I am not a stiletto wearer. I have Bambi ankles and am highly unstable it any form of shoe without a good chunky heel. Secondly I am not one for fancy feminine shoes. I like mine big, fat and garish. BUT I just cannot stop thinking about these. I LOVE the stiletto, I love the blue and white stripes, I love the black leather detailing around the inside edge of the shoe, I love the white ankle strap, and even more, I love the black hair on the back.

I just need them in my wardrobe. At £125 they won’t even break the bank. Well, they will mine at the moment but I have a holiday and am moving house!

Obviously, I couldn’t just post about one pair of shoes….Oh no. That’s be rude.

Plus, I couldn’t forget these bad boys. Preen’s Giffee for Aldo Rise.

Ahhhhhhh. That’s more like it. Preen brings out the best in me. The bright white of the chunky heel, the graphic print, open toe, and the slingback, make this absolutely perfect for me. All for a small £135. Bam!

Now, who wants to lend me some money?

Which Aldo Rise designer collab do you most want to shop?
