Going to the chapel…

So the weekend came and went in a bit of a blur. Me and the boyf travelled down (or up-my geography is shocking) to Milton Keynes for his mums wedding. The ceremony was held in Wrest Park Hall, the massive listed house that Lily Allen used for her video ‘The Fear’.
It was so beautiful inside although the staff made us wear these plastic heel covers so we wouldn’t mark the floor….not a good look.

Anyway I haven’t really attended many weddings and seeing as it was the boys mother’s I was really worried about what to wear. I had brought this dress from TK Maxx ages ago but never worn it. I decided it was nice enough for the wedding and thought it would look great in the sun. Unfortunately the sun never came out and it was freezing. If you are a regular reader you’ll know that I have been looking for a blazer that will go with everything….well I have had trouble finding it until I went round to the motherships and she pulled out this vintage number.
This was the winning outfit and got me loads of lovely compliments at the wedding. We had a great day drinking the bar dry of asti and rose wine.
