Was trawling through the net earlier and found Kirsty Doyle’s site. She studied Womenswear at Central St Martins, like so many great others, then went on to win Project Catwalk in 2006. She has spent the last two years building a successful line where she mixes femininity with architectural shapes.
I had to post these picturse from her Spring/ Summer 09 collection as I feel a bit enticed by the simplicity of her imagery. One of my favourites is the yellow chiffon racer back top, I love the way it billows out behind her and I like the way it’s paired with a pleated, pristine white skirt.
She keeps her shapes and lines structured and seemingly close fitting to the body but creates an extra bit of detailing to stop it from looking plain. I’m also a fan of the feminity of her collection.
I like the bright colours for Spring/ Summer and the clash of the deep blues and reds. If I had the money (damn credit crunch) I would be buying the above outfits as I have a penchant for volumous sleeves. One final declaration for love now….all her garments are made to measure. Whoop Whoop.
