Want it on Wednesday: This 1970’s Striped Mohair Knit

Since I purchased the perfect cropped black jumper, just before the weather took a chillier turn, I’ve been keeping an eye out for knits that can be layered over shirts, tucked into midi skirts and thrown on over dresses. I’m after slightly oversized, fluffy numbers that look as cosy as they feel. And I know I can always rely on Whistles.

Trusty Whistles. Reliable Whistles. Makes me want to spend all my money Whistles. They’ve done it again with this gorgeously rich-coloured striped Stevie Mohair Knit.

It’s a beauty with its 1970’s inspired burgundy, blue, mustard, rust and cream stripes, all in different heights. It ticks my oversized box, it’s nice and long which works with my skinny jeans, or due to its tunic shape, works just as well layered over skirts.

What I’m most surprised at is the fact that I’m drawn to the higher neckline. Which normally I avoid, as after having my thyroid surgery I can’t bear to have my neck covered or restricted. It freaks me out. But for some reason I’m willing to let that slide for this knit.
