My face is currently having a love affair with three products. A moisturiser that’s giving me that post-gym glow minus the exercise, a miraculous anti-blemish cream and a pencil that’s giving me lazy-but-still-badass brows.
Here we have it, the three things my face is currently loving.
1. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo[+]
I have a pretty long term love affair going with this miracle cream and have now got my mum hooked on the good stuff. I apply this every morning and night to any problem areas, from redness and pimples to scars and those nasty under-the-skin mammoth spots, and it miraculously makes everything better.
It ensures my skin feels soft and hydrated, it nourishes and softens my scars and it zaps spots at a killer speed. It’s unreal and totally reliable. My skin care routine would crumble without it.
All this and it only costs £15. You’ve gotta hand it to the French, when it comes to skin care, they sure know their stuff.
2. Lancôme Énergie De Vie Liquid Moisturiser
I figured I might as well continue on the-French-are-bloody-brilliant path with a nod to Lancôme’s latest moisturiser, Énergie De Vie Liquid. First of all you barely need any to cover a full face and cheeky neck swipe, meaning this product will last you ages. The moisturiser itself feels like a serum in texture and easily melts into the skin.
I’ve found my skin stays feeling hydrated and plump the entire day, even with London grime and commutes to deal with. In fact, it gives my face such an amazing glow that recently I’ve just been applying concealer over the top to spots and dark circles, feeling brave enough to ditch the tinted moisturiser or foundation.
3. Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil
Let’s talk about brows. I have two of them, both mismatched – sisters not twins remember – and both a bit gappy. Previously I’d been loyal to the Soap & Glory Archery Pencil but recently I’ve switched sides and fallen prey to Benefit’s new range of delights and it’s all due to a free sample in Elle.
For someone like me, who wants to throw some makeup on as quickly as possible in the mornings, this is my kind of product. My technique is simple, I swipe a couple of strokes through the brows, run a spooley through to smudge them in, set them with some clear brow gel and I’m done. Super easy brows for the win.
What skincare faves are you crushing on?
