It’s no secret that I’m addicted to my Urban Decay Naked Palette. This weekend I felt the need to bust out some shimmery-gold shadow to complete my 70’s-inspired look alongside my flares, and there was only one palette worth picking up. You guessed it.
I started by blending Half Baked all over the lid, however, when I applied it, I decided it was far too brassy for my pale skin on its own. I toned it down by applying Smog over the top, resulting in a gorgeous golden brown metallic colour. I finished with a thin line of Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Stag on my top lashes just to make them appear fuller, before lashing on layers of Lancôme’s Hypnôse Drama Mascara. This mascara has just started drying up which is when it’s at its optimal for me.
I filled in my brows with a few strokes of Soap & Glory’s Archery Pencil and set them in place with Maybelline Brow Drama in Transparent. This holds the strays in place all day and is super cheap.
I felt this look wouldn’t be complete without a slick of red. My Topshop Lip Bullet in Joyride has become my most-loved red lippy at the moment. It glides on like a dream and doesn’t dry out my lips, which are already super cracked at the moment. And there you have it. Golden Eye.
