I love wearing slouchy, over-sized, comfy clothes. That’s my thing. Every now and then, I like to steal clothes from Al’s wardrobe and incorporate them into my own. I regularly wear his Rolling Stones tee, I sleep in his old Arsenal kits, I tend to favour his jumpers over mine and now, I’m borrowing his white shirt.
Here I’ve styled an over-sized white shirt in three completely wearable ways. Don’t worry, suspenders and heels aren’t one of them.
With Shorts…
Does a skort still qualify as shorts? These is fast becoming my go-to item for nights out as well as casual daytime looks. These shorts are semi high waisted, which I love because I have a very looooooooooong body, and they’re cut to flatter my thighs.
I love a monochrome mash up (which is handy because there’s a lot of that in this post) and think if you’re wearing a patterned bottom, you should stick to a plain top. You can’t beat a white shirt.
What I’m Wearing:
Shirt, Al’s from Next
Skort, Topshop
Wedges, River Island
Watch, Michael Kors
Cuff, Forever 21
With a Dungaree Dress…
I think any form of dungarees, from dresses to shorts, rock. Comfort, ease and the ability to go with any item in my wardrobe is seriously impressive. So why not a white shirt?
I like how it bags around the body and arms and I love how by buttoning it up to the top, I’ve mixed prim and proper with casual teen. Clearly the look I was going for.
What I’m Wearing:
Shirt, Al’s from Next
Dungaree dress, ASOS
Sandals, Bertie
Watch, Michael Kors
With Slinky Silk Trousers…
To be honest, cigarette pants, jeans, any kind of trouser would work here. I just wanted to be fancy and dig these out the cupboard as they’ve been unloved.
I love masculine dressing, so pairing a mans shirt with women’s trousers felt completely natural. It looks dramatic but sophisticated. It’s super simple and can be dressed up with a pair of heels and a statement necklace.
Do you know what would make this even better? A bow tie. That’s right.
Love these Jobi! xx
