I know I’m late to the couture party and that we’re already in full swing of New York Fashion Week, but that’s not going to stop me declaring my love for the Ellie Saab Spring 13 Couture show.
The runway was a mix of pale pastels, intricate detailing, applique flowers, glistening embellishments and fragile lace. It was breathtaking.
49 dresses were shown and I’ve managed to whittle them down to my favourite five. It won’t come as a surprise that the ones I’ve picked are the most embellished, shimmering ones.
Imagine them sashaying down the catwalk, the lights illuminating the sparkling thread and beading.
The dresses manage to look so simple yet you know hours and hours have been spent applying beads and applique. It’s incredible the amount of detail that goes into just one dress. I’m always in awe.
Perfect for a little Monday daydream.
