Not sure why that’s my title or where it’s from but I just love that saying. I know yet again it has taken me an age to post but I have been busy and come bearing good news, well for me. I have only gone and managed to get myself a job!! A real one….with money and everything! It all happened very quickly within the space of two weeks which meant I had to prepare myself for interviews and stuff which has meant that blogging had to take a bit of a back burner. Which to be honest was quite nice as I was beginning to lack inspiration…but I am back again and with stuff to share…and some new purchases finally!! I’m not going to make any promises on how often I will be posting, mainly as I’m not sure how it’s all going to fit in but we shall see. Anyway big thanks to all my followers and readers who left comments, I will get round to commenting back….
I found a lovely little email in my inbox this morning from Olivia Rubin (well it came from the press department but was signed by her) saying that her A/W 09 collection is now available to buy from ASOS and MyWardrobe which I am sooooo happy about. A while ago I did a little gushing over her collections and how much I wanted to wear them. Well it seems now that I have a job I may end up with some money (although I won’t get my first paycheck till the end of September) which means I am one step closer to actually owning one of these dresses. I managed to whittle my faves down to three but still wasn’t sure which one I liked the best. It’s always hard to to try to visualise which one would suit you best…….so I decided to mock up what I would look like in an Olivia Rubin dress, well three of them really….
And I look good, right?… I still don’t have a favourite but do find myself leaning towards the first dress. Am thinking it’s because of the clash of prints, I’m finding it quite hypnotic. But the middle dress does come with a little caplet in the same clashing print…..Must start saving all pennies in giant bottle and count them regularly to see if I have anywhere near the right amount. The dresses are actually better priced than expected, ranging from £150 to £200.
Ohhh and more good news the Jaeger playsuit I used in mine and the partner in crimes fashion show has been reduced further in the sale to a mere £199.20. Which caused a mini row between myself and the pink haired cousin…mainly as she was debating whether it was a worthy purchase, of which I said yes but that I wanted it and would wear it every day to show my love, she then suggested buying it together and sharing it. Yes she actually said share. I said that was a ridiculous suggestion as I cannot share the playsuit that I love. If I were to wear it I would never want to take it off…which all means I’ll probably never own it now….I have blown my chances…
P.S Just admitted to the boyf that yes I was spending my time photoshopping my head onto pictures of dresses and that no I wasn’t/am not going mad. Just wanted to see what I might look like…reasonable answer me thinks…
epic win on the pic front
Olivia Rubin is great and the prices sound very reasonable as well.
First one definitely. Very realistic impressions there, haha
