6 Things I’ve Loved This Month

This month I’ve been dreaming of sunnier times and reaching for creature comforts.

Ringing My Eyes in Kohl
I’ve been ringing my eyes with my trusty Bourjois Kohl and Contour in Gris Ingenueux a lot this month. I’ve had this pencil for yonks, probably longer than is healthy, and can always rely on it for an intense line. It glides on smoothly, smudges easily and stays put all day. Everything I ask for in a pencil. It’s a little short and stubby these days it’s been used that much.

Leopard Print
This leopard-print grey jumper has become a staple in my wardrobe. With the weather not quite warm enough for bare arms, I’ve been reaching for this and pairing it with jeans, skirts and layering it under dresses. I could never give up my animal print.

My Skin Mecca, La Roche Posay
I feel like I mention this in any skin-care related posts, but for me, the Effaclar Duo really is that good. I suffer from breakouts when that time of the month is nearing and this works to calm my skin and clear them faster than normal. I actually start to panic when I near the end of a tube.

Pastel Nails
I’m currently switching between Barry M Gelly in Prickly Pear and Rimmel 60 Seconds in Breakfast in Bed to get in to Spring. I’m now on the hunt for the best baby blue varnish so I can alternate nails with all the pastel shades.

Dry Shampoo for Second Day Hair
With my shorter do, it’s easier to leave washing it for a couple of days, meaning I’ve been reaching for the dry shampoo to freshen it up and help give it a bit of life. I’ve been using Colab’s Rio, which smells nice and doesn’t leave me frantically trying to rub in all the white powder like Batiste does.

Reading Up on Alexander McQueen
I’ve recently booked tickets to see the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition at the V&A for May. In honour of that I’ve been swotting up on my McQueen facts with The Life and the Legacy so I can really appreciate the craftsmanship behind his designs when seeing them in person.
