Once I’ve found something I like, I tend to get quite obsessed with it. If it’s an item of clothing, I’ll wear it again and again. If it’s a model or celeb, I’ll watch and read anything they’ve done. If it’s an item for our new house, I’ll look at it daily, obsessing over whether it’ll suit the room as I remember it.
These six things below are my latest obsessions to share…
Bold Lips
There
is nothing better in life than wearing a slick of bright lipstick. I’m
currently loving my Giorgio Armani postbox red and a bright pink from
Barry M. Hell yeah.
Hozier’s Delicious Voice
I first saw Hozier perform at Latitude festival this summer, after loving
his track, Take Me To Church. His voice is powerful, silky smooth and
totally captivating. I’ve currently got him on loop on Spotify, I just
can’t get enough. He’s also beautiful to look at. Just an added bonus
there.
Kate (I-want-to-be-her) Upton
I regularly write about my growing girl crush on Kate Upton, here and here, for example. She’s absolutely incredible. She’s on the cover of September’s Elle and I’m super excited to see more and more of her.
Multicoloured Nails
There’s something super satisfying in painting each nail a different colour. This time I’ve gone for brights, with blue, pink, yellow, green and purple, because, well, why the hell not. Shout out to Sanj of K.O Rasoi, who gave me the idea after seeing a similar picture on Pinterest.
Shopping for Sofas
When we eventually sign on the dotted line and move in, our first
purchase is going to be a sofa, and I’m taking this task extremely
seriously. I cannot begin to explain just how much time I’m spending
online browsing for sofas for a maisonette I don’t yet own. On a daily
basis I tend to show Al a couple of sofas which have caught my eye.
My current favourite is this Arden Reversible Corber Sofa from Dwell.
It’s a gorgeous charcoal colour, looks fairly slim but still comfortable
(Al’s brother and wife have one) and has an extended, reversible
footstool. Yes please.
Pineapples
From
wearing my hair in one, to having a dress covered in them, this
month I’m all about pineapples. I’ve also just discovered that ASOS sell
pineapple socks and candles, both of which I now need in my life. Heads up that this cute little Topshop dress will have a post to itself Friday, so stay tuned.
