Be kind to yourself. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Have a nice day. These are my three daily mantras. And yep, I am now the proud owner of this banging Anya Hindmarch bag. Oh hell yeah.
I’ve been obsessed with stars ever since my grandad passed away 16 years ago. Once he’d gone, my mum and I would say to each other that he would always be there, looking down on us, as the brightest star in the sky. And from that day on, I’ve been drawn to absolutely anything with a cute star print.
As I begin to fill my gorgeous new display cabinet with handbags, I start to take note of the bags that are missing from my current collection. Said collection has dwindled massively in the past year due to a serious case of mould taking the majority of bags hostage. But that’s ok. Because I can dream about replacing them.
There is nothing I love more than the smell of a new leather bag. Or the feeling of immense happiness when you walk along swinging a new number from the crook of your elbow. Handbags just make me happy. And this beauty from Alexander McQueen is no exception.
I have a friend who is a complete bag enabler. Actually, I have several. You know the type who send you a link to a luscious leather bag that’s eye-wateringly expensive but suits you to perfection. Well this particular bag enabler, we’ll call her Hills, goes one step further handing over glossy brochures, pinpointing the pages I need to focus on. And 99.9% of the time she’s right. And then I have to make a purchase.
When suede and fringing collide it’s guaranteed that I’ll like the outcome. They just so happen to be two of my favourite things. Especially when it comes in the form of a drawstring bag. [Read more]
I’ve got itchy feet when it comes to handbags at the moment. Now’s the time the new season bags start trickling in and I start to edit down my favourites list, working out what I can realistically add to my stash around the end of year at my birthday. Today’s Want it on Wednesday item is just that. It’s not called a Paradise Satchel for nothing you know. [Read more]
Look what I’ve got my grubby little paws on. It’s only this gorgeous petrol Bowery bag from Rebecca Minkoff.
I was lucky enough to receive some money for my birthday and knew instantly that I wanted to add a luxurious leather item to my collection. In particular, I knew I wanted something fairly small but still roomy and preferably one that I could throw across my shoulders. Enter Rebecca Minkoff.
I think I may actually be obsessed with Minkoff. I’ve signed up to her emails, regularly stalk her site for lust-worthy items and I’ve even been having dreams that she’s my best friend and keeps gifting me more bags than I have room for.
Anyway, I spotted this bag on The Outnet and instantly fell head over heels. It had 40% off the original price and was exactly what I was looking for. And it’s even better in real life.
It has a three almost hidden pockets; one zipped at the front, one under the lobster clasp and then a sleeve at the back. The snap-fastening front flap conceals a brilliant black and white canvas with enough room for all my essentials. I flipping love it.
I’m hoping this means I will stop packing my bags to the point of overflowing and as a result my shoulders will reap the benefits. I’ll let you know. Just expect to see even more of this bad boy.
When I was younger my biggest dilemma in life was whether to have Frosties or Coco Pops for breakfast. It was a tough toss up between beautifully crisp, sugar-coated flakes of goodness or the cereal with special powers turning the milk chocolaty. I couldn’t even pick now.
Which is why Anya Hindmarch has made my life so much more difficult.
I don’t know how I’m only just stumbling across these incredible clutches now but I am and I’m in love.
In fact, they’re grrreat!
Frosties Imperial Clutch, £995
When he saw the milk go chocolaty he jumped right in…
I realise that a box of cereal is a helluva lot cheaper than these clutches BUT it wouldn’t look the same with a cardboard box tucked under my arm would it…
