I’m going to put it out there, that due to not one but two hurricanes featuring in our wedding last September, I know a thing or two about stuff not going exactly to plan. The main point to remember is not to worry, that these things happen and it’s likely that no one but you will even notice if something’s a little out of place.
I’ve saved three of what I would call the little treasures for my last post about our big day. These items individually made me laugh, cry and turned me into a Mrs.
I’m not entirely sure how but we’ve been married a month already. I’ve had the post-wedding blues, we picked ourselves back up with an epic party, I’ve made a scrapbook and we’ve just finished decorating our flat with our gifts. Which means it’s time to relive a few of my favourite memories from the day.
WE DID IT! On Friday, 8th September 2017, Al and I got married. I became a wife, Al a husband and together we became Mr and Mrs Coates.
Now I don’t want to sound alarmed but I get married in 42 days and that’s not very far away now. Eeeeeeeeeeek.
Breaking news: I am a thirty-year-old sequin and glitter obsessive.
Shit. It’s really happening people. In 4 months time, I’ll have said I do. Tied the knot. Be a Mrs. Cue the heart palpitations.
I have a major love affair with Etsy. I like supporting small businesses and people’s passions, which is why it’s the first place I always look for wedding inspo. Hence me dragging my mum into town Saturday for a little nose at the Etsy wedding pop up at West Elm.
I always knew I could rely on Selfridges shoe lounge in the hunt for my wedding shoes. My mum and I decided to visit my shoe Mecca and put my Manolo craving to bed.
