The Pencil That’s Upped My Brow Game

I’d like to start this post by stating the obvious. I am blonde, with the help of regular highlights, and I do have dark brown brows. There. In fact I’d go as far as saying I embrace the fact that my brows are dark. I like having them as feature. I am indeed a lover of a strong brow.

I am a hairy girl by nature (TMI right there) and my eyebrows are probably one of the most notable parts. To keep them in shape I tweeze them maybe two to three times a week, only taking hair from below the brow.

This hasn’t always been the case. Back when I was a teen I tried a variety of brow shapes, I plucked above and below, I even once shaved in a slit when it was all the rage… With the boys. I’ve tried waxing which is far too painful and threading, which was great but means going to town to find a good one and having it done in the middle of a busy shopping centre is not what I want. Also I hate how much it makes my eyes water!

Natural brow to the left and pencil-filled brow to the right

I’ve accepted that my brows are more sisters than twins and that I can get away with not doing anything to them, but that doesn’t mean I won’t. These days I’ve come to rely quite heavily on two items in particular. Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Pencil and Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara in transparent. Both have massively upped my brow game.

All I do is run the pencil through the gaps at the front making them appear fuller and more defined and a little through the ends where my left brow finishes shorter than my right – sisters I tell you. Add to that a slick of Maybelline Brow Drama to keep them in place and avoid looking like a nutty professor and I’m laughing.

That’s right, super slick brows for less than £13 *raises right brow suggestively*.
