Wishing on a Star…

I am blaming this post on my fashion partner in crime. You see, she has a couple of tattoos and now I want one.

That’s not strictly true. I’ve wanted one for a while now but for various reasons, mainly me being a big wimp, I haven’t had the balls to get one.

I am not only petrified of the pain but am conscious that if I get inked, it will stay with me for the rest of my life. That’s why I’m not taking this lightly.

I’ve always wanted stars, before you start judging me let me explain why. My grandad was my ultimate hero. I worshiped the ground he walked on and was devastated when he died. The one thing that I always remember is my mum telling me that if I looked into the sky at night and found the brightest star, that would be him, looking down on me.

This is kinda along the lines that I’m thinking of. Image courtesy of Google Images.

That memory is something that I will always remember and still believe when I stare at the sky. For that reason alone, I have a thing for stars.

As for where to get it. Who knows. I used to think my ankle, but they’re way too bony which would hurt. I then moved on to my left-hand side, across my ribs, again this got crossed off the list for pain. That leaves me with my wrist. That way I can show it, but also hide it, if needed, under my watch.

We’ll have to wait and see if I ever feel brave enough…

Do any of you have tattoos? If so, what and where? Any advice you’d give me?

Awwww I can't see the picture for some reason… Do it do it do it!!! When you have a tattoo for such a significant reason you'll never regret it, it becomes a part of you. I have a black swan on my ankle for my grandad, I can confirm ankles are painful! Having both wrists tattooed, wrists aren't bad and you can always see it then 🙂 And star tattoos still rule, my first tattoo was a star on my hip – just cos I wanted to know what a tattoo felt like, no reason at all. But it reminds me of the day and the friends I was with, lovely memory!! DO IT DO IT DO IT!!! Hehe xx
